Parktronics Controller upgrade from 1Z0919283 to 1Z0919475

Featured Replies

As the title says, I'm planning on upgrading my Parktronics controller from a 1Z0 919 283 to a 1Z0 919 475. I know that the xxxx475 Controller connects to the main CAN Gateway at Address 10 while my current xxxx283 Controller is connected to Address 76. Which means it is not a direct swap, but will require some re-wiring. I did find an article with details here http://www.my-gti.co...king-system-ops, but it is for a 3C8919475 Controller, which may be similar, but would like to have some confirmation here before I play with this setup. Has anyone here actually managed to replace a 1Z0919283 with 1Z0919475? If yes, could they share some info and possiblly some pics please?

Just found out that the Sensors' make needs to match with the PDC Controller make, i.e. A Valeo PDC Controller will not gel with Bosch Sensors and vice-versa.

Also found out that post 2007/8, the Controller present in the A5 is a Valeo and mine being a 2004, the Controller most likely is a Bosch make, which leaves me no choice but to upgrade the whole PDC System with an estimation of $280/-, and all this just to get an Image on the Screen.

Not worth it!
