I've got for sale two one Tom Tom unit. First up is the Tom Tom GO 700 with lots of accessories, boxed and includes UK+ROI and Western Europe Maps.

It used to belong to my parents but since their new car has built in nav, they passed it on to me. Accessories are a carry case, external gps antenna (useful for some laminated windscreens), car + mains charger, windscreen mount and remote control. Maps are a few years old, but I updated the unit with the latest map-share updates. I'm looking for £55 which includes delivery.

I also have for sale my own Tom Tom One XL, which is boxed and includes UK+ROI and Western Europe Maps.

What's the better one out of the 2? Any pictures?

I honestly can't say which of the two is the best. The GO 700 is loaded with accessories, the XL is a nicer unit to look at (IMHO). I did find another powered mount for the XL as well, which is mounted on a Brodit clip. No idea what car the clip is for though... Signum, C-Crosser, Octavia... could be either of those 3

The pictures should start to appear in 1 hour again, after my DNS has propagated again. Had a catastrophic router failure and am now on a backup. If you drop me an email address then I can send them as well if you need them quicker...

Does the XL have both built-in memory and an SD card slot?

Yes it has 1GB built in memory and also an SD slot in the bottom. Never used it though, so not sure how useful it is. The maps are on the internal memory

do you have to pay to update the maps?

Yes, unless you walk on the shady side of life

You have to pay for a Tom Tom map update which completely replaces the original one, there are also minor "community" updates which are corrections sent in by users and are free. I have a one xl and use the SD slot in mine (2GB) as without it the internal memory cannot hold all of the new maps. If you use the sd slot you have to watch the card does not pop out as it confuses the unit and it can be a faf getting it to work again. I have also replaced the battery in mine.

do you have to pay to update the maps?

I have a tom tom xl and have updated the maps twice, also added different sounds and my car (instead of the arrow on the screen) for free, although i bought mine new.
