Will I lose my recordings if I drop Sky HD?

Featured Replies

I'm thinking of dropping the HD package from my Sky subscription (nice, but not worth £10 extra per month). Does anyone know if my box will lose the HD stuff I have already recorded if I do this?

You'll still get the free HD channels BBC, C4, ITV1 etc -I couldn't say for sure, but I think that you probably will loose access to any recordings made on the pay HD channels -I've accidentally recorded stuff on HD and I get the message about upgrading my subscription in order to view

That's useful to know - at least I won't have to ponce around switching the dish feed into the tele in order to get those channels.

Thanks, I'll have to have a bltiz watching all the stuff that's been recorded in HD before getting rid of it then!

Let me know what retention offer you get as i'm considering exactly the same thing!

HD for £5 for the next 12 months (not contracted so can still drop it at any time).

I took that offer as I can keep the F1 channel then and it gives me more time to watch my HD recordings too.
