New vRS Octavia - picked up yesterday

Featured Replies

Evening all,

Yesterday i was lucky enough to pick up this beautiful Octavia vRS from Cheshire Oaks Skoda!

I traded in my Fabia vRS (which id only owned for 4 months) which pics are also below of.

Looking to do a few modifications to it, going to run it in first, let me know what you think....

Thanks

Paul

No offence to the fabia, but i found it a bit small and rattly. Im used to bigger cars, took the downgrade to a smaller motor and it didnt suit me.

Other than the size, i have no other complaints about the Fabia. Although from what i seen of the Octavia, ill be keeping this beast alot longer !! :) :)

Paul

both cars look really nice, but the Octavia is sweet

Don't bother waiting to run it in just get it remapped now.

Well i will do very soon Jonno, give it a few months and it will be remapped :) :) :)

Good stuff. I waited less than a day. Patience isn't my strong suit.

Nice tints.

i really like the fl in white

Already got an issue with it - when driving at speeds more than 50mph, you can hear air rushing in from the back drivers side door. Sitting in the back while somebody else drives it sounds to me like theres a gap at the top of the door, possibly the seal isnt tight enough.

From visual inspection it looks ok compared to the other back door.

Common fault or just mine?

Paul

Nice colour!!

People have already posted about the wind noise I cant find the post at the mo, Nice car BTW.

Oh right........ so will dealers fix it?

Paul

Common problem, it is the seal around the quarter light on the rear door.

There is a DIY fix for it on here but I'm not sure what the dealers would do...

Thanks for the link - ill give the 6 tap thing a go when i next get the chance.

Sounds like taking it back to the dealers is a waste of time lol

Nice, I was torn between Fabia and Octavia when I was choosing but the Fabia felt a tad tight and was too choppy for my liking so Octavia it was, and to this day I'm delighted with my choice.

I did the window fix, as you'll see from the thread, and it worked a treat

Looks great. Good luck keeping it clean, as I know only too well. :giggle:
