How to empty CCV oil?

Featured Replies

Hello, I have been told to remove the air box and slightly untighten the strut brace to access the catch can drain plug, but I’m lazy!

If I purchase the Pela 6000 can this be done in an alternative method e.g. disconnect one of the black pipes and feed the pump wire through all the way down to the catch can? Are there any mesh filters built into the can which may cause issues?

Any help would be great

I doubt you will be able to get the hose deep enough inside as there is wire mesh in there. So the drain tap is the best way

Mine is in same place and looks like same can. Just take air box out it ain't long/hard job

kool, I have no idea what I'm doing  , how do I take the air box out? few torx screws and clips?

the previous owner said the strut brace needs loosening also.

Do I drain the oil from the can before or after the oil change? or does it not matter?

Any help would be great dude

many thanks
