Reintroduction and seating a SATNAV Unit into VRS?

Featured Replies

Evening. After over a year off the forum I am back on as I have reacquired my old VRS. Having gone from an Abarth 500 to a 325D Tourer (sold & written off) I'm now back into my old Octy which has been in my father's possession. I have an issue though, very small one. I bought an OEM Satnav unit from a member on here and then my dad bought the car soon after. Anyway over the last year it seems to have worked itself back out. Any ideas as to how I can keep it in place? It seems the increased boost from the Shark remap keeps kicking it out. Any ideas??

glad to be back though. after a short drive this afternoon and a quick browse of the forum again it just feels right :)

they should be a tight fit buddy and just stay in place. Well mine is and it kinda locks into place. Looks a nightmare to get to the sides as the the upper dash panel would need to come out to expose stereo framework

Yeah thats my problem so little room to work with. When i first fitted it i remember it being a right PITA and I was forever moving cables just to get the bugger in! I will give it another try and see how I get on. might have to think of something DIY to keep it in place if nothing else. good to see the likes of yourself, bodge etc are all still here. what ever happend to clive?

when fitted into cage it should lock into place, take it out and fit cage first and make sure the clips on the side are pushed out ;-)
