Retrofit Variable Boot Floor

Featured Replies

I've had our Scout for just over a year, and absolutely love it! It is the ideal active family barge & work tool!

However my elderly father lives with us 6 months of the year and we want to start taking his mobility scooter out with us so he can get about a bit more. The only problem I have is lifting it in and out over the deep boot lip. It's a biggish scooter as he needs mobility up and down big hills. There is no point replacing it with a smaller one as it wouldn't be up to tackling our hill, and there is no option to buy a second portable one (either price or storage wise).

So I was wondering if it's possible to retrofit the variable boot floor, as this would make getting it in and out loads easier.

If so, any idea what parts i'd need and a rough cost?

I have a variable boot floor that I'm about to put a Ebay if your interested PM me

Thanks Patrol Man, good to meet you!

All fitted, should work a treat.

Many thanks

Bruce,

Glad to hear you've got it sorted and even more so that the Scooter is still getting used

Hi mate, yes it's very much appreciated, know my old man loves being able to still go for his own shopping etc.

It now means we can use it on day's out too. So he should clock a few more miles yet!
