in Austria - was it you?

Featured Replies

So there we were, in our new Yeti, on the Grossglockner High Alpine Road and I'd just commented that we'd not seen any other British cars.

All st once, coming the other way, we saw a grey UK Yeti who passed with a wave and a toot which was returned.

I think the Reg Num started LD10.

If that was you a hearty 'Gruss Gott" from us.

John

Woohoo! My first was it you! YES, it was me! :-) Just through Germany and into Austria and you are the first uk yeti I've seen! Isn't it nice out here!? We've (friend in wrangler that was ahead of me) just set the barbecue off and we have a pile of meat at the ready to go on :-) Where are you heading?

Well the chances of that :giggle:

Enjoy; wish i was there too.

TP

It's a small world! Thanks TP. :-)

Hi FocusZtec

Fantastic. I saw the Wrangler and wondered if you were together.

We're staying in a Village called Ellmau in the Wilden Kaiser area.

We'd been for a day trip, I love the Grossglockner.

New Yeti has just passed 1,000 miles.

Where are you based?

John

Hi John, sounds good! Fantastic roads but I was rather being held up by my mate. However, I still managed to get the Ferrodo DS2500 pads glowing and smoking; quite some achievement! Through Austria ive also seen my trip mpg settle at 42.2 despite taking advantage of the unrestricted autobahns through Germany. Take a read of my post in the yeti section 5,500 mile trip one a few weeks back and the 'tootle pip, off for a long drive' one - that will give you our itinerary. :-) take care, enjoy the car and the places, Lee.
