Octavia VRS Seats - New Member

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone

I have an Octavia 2010 DSG Vrs Estate and i love the car but I find after a while in the car the seats really hurt my legs and back as I do have back problems.

The seats I find really narrow compare to the VW CC or the Scirroco

So my question is - Are there any other seats that will fit my car without to much modification as I really want to keep the car

Thanks

Problem you will have is selling the car with non-standard seats further down the line, unless you just stick your VRS seats in the back of the garage and swap them back over when the day comes. Shame as you could probably get a few quid for them on eBay.

Saying that, I have a 2009 Octavia Laurin & Klement and the seats in that are well comfy. I guess it will be hard to find those on eBay but try seats from other Octavia's or Yeti, Golf MK6, new Jetta, Seat Leon, Audi A3 which should probably fit straight in. Stuff from Mk5 Golfs, pre-facelift Octavia (2004 - 2009), Audi A3 (2003 - 2009) etc. will also physically fit but you may need to check the airbag connector (the wiring is the same but the plugs are subtly different). I've got a set of standard seats from a 2008 Jetta in the shed that you can have for free if you can come and collect them, you would just need new airbag connectors to get them to fit. Front seats from the Scirocco and EOS will also likely fit as well as maybe the Audi TT but the backs will be different and I'm guessing you want to be moving away from sports seats.

The actual swap out won't take more than about an hour, easy enough job, four bolts on each front seat, instructions on here somewhere.
