There is a difference between can't be done and shouldn't be done.

Technically you can bung a tow bar on any Fabia. But if the bar or the car isn't type approved for one then technically your not insured if you have one fitted. And then you can always end up like this after a non genuine tow bar is slapped into your pride and joy.

Dead short yeah, took out half the loom, underlay, carpets and heater box then the curtain airbags went off.

No, but won't give any more details other than that. Just suffice to say there's a reason we as dealers charge what we do. And the Fabia II install is far from the easiest one if done properly.

What's the limit for the bar weight wise?

Not sure at least a tonne on the 1.6td
