MFD1 not turning on/off with ignition

Featured Replies

Hi all. Removed my MFD1 yesterday to seat it better but now it won't turn on or off with the ignition. I can only assume a cable has come loose but which one? What am I looking for? Any comments would be greatly received.

A bit of a vague answer i'm affraid, been a while since I fitted mine, There are two main plugs on the back of the unit, IIRC the plug on the left as you pull the unit out is for the cd changer and on the right will be an adapter loom that connects the mfd to the vehicle loom, this is where the power comes from, HTH.

thanks for your response. I had a good look yesterday and just couldn't for the life of me find any loose cables. everything is in place and sits where it should. i understand that power needs to come from the ignition so the unit ets the signal to turn on and off only problem is in such a mass of wires i dont know what i am looking for. add to that a plug and play adaptor which i put in and it is just a maze. think i might pop down to my local car audio guy

On the main loom from the car the will be a red wire and a yellow wire, one is the ignition feed one is the permanent feed if you have any equipment try checking these
