G235 Sensor Fault?

Featured Replies

The on going saga of error codes on my vRS has now thrown up a new one.

I get a flashing glow plug light and sometimes the engine management light. The error code is:

1 Fault Found:

001350 - Sensor 1 for Exhaust Temp Bank 1 (G235)

P0546 - 006 - Short to Plus - Intermittent - MIL ON

Freeze Frame:

Fault Status: 10100001

Fault Priority: 5

Fault Frequency: 149

Reset counter: 40

Mileage: 98434 km

Time Indication: 0

Date: 2000.00.00

Time: 11:20:00

Freeze Frame:

RPM: 2592 /min

Torque: 120.0 Nm

Speed: 22.0 km/h

37.05 %

Voltage: 14.13 V

Temperature: 26.0°C

I tried doing check nn the Engine blocks via VCDS and the temperature of the sensor before the turbo reads at 1024 deg - but only when I put my foot down whilst the one in the DPF reads as normal.

I'm assuming it's a new G235 sensor but want to make sure I'm not missing a trick?

This is the final straw with this car, having spent near on £2k trying to resolve all the issues I've had over the last 2 years and it'll be going once this is fixed as I can't px it with the fault light on! Shame, as it was the car I really wanted but has turned out to be one of the worst I've ever owned.
