Looks like I'm moving from a MK1to MK2. Thoughts on this car please!?

Love the colour, red looks awesome!!

Is it a original vRs as its not advertised as one? only they have got 170bhp as std so with a "chip" (worth finding out exactly what this is) and an air filter I would expect more than 180bhp.

I love the coil overs fitted by Awesome GIT (I think he means GTI :-D)

I've had a red MK1 vRS before my current black one, and I must say it really does suit the MK2.

I agree about the vRS angle. I did wonder that, as it isn't listed as vRS in the title -but does have all interior bits etc....

Yeah, I'm hoping that Awesome GIT is a spelling error and not some dodgy GIT.

No it's not a vRS - It is a Sport. It used to belong to Sean GT. He bought it off Damo.

Not worth touching then......

Do you know the car Nick?

Word of caution.

Thats not a vrs. I susspect its a sport.

It doesnt have jumbo box and dual climate either.

It does have a fair few non standard parts so if you are interested make sure you get all the details stright before viewing.

Sorry replies were made while I was typing.

Is it Damo's old sport?

I wouldn't say that at all. It's actually quite a compelling proposition. Already got good coilvers, reasonable wheels, upgraded interior, remapped PD140 so no need to remove DPF. I'd want to get him down on price a little further though.

Wouldn't touch a remapped pd140. They are known to go bang. Lots of good example vRS's about for reasonable money. Get the petrol.

A mk2 TFSI vrs can be had for peanuts ATM.

Really the prices are very low and it's the perfect time to buy one.

" coil-over kit fitted by awesome GIT"

really!

The standard turbo certainly can, but fit a bigger turbo and the rest of it is pretty bulletproof.

Not exactly within the realms of what most folk would want to do though!

Apart from some odd advertising - "2.0 PDI" ?? - it's worth a look. Was well looked after certainly by Damo and Sean.

The Sport was based on a mid-range Ambiente so the spec isn't huge, but it has had some nice additions added. No DPF to worry about with the PD140 either.

Certainly worth a little look :)

Remapping on the PD140 is a little more fraught, as others have eluded to. The std turbo isn't perhaps as robust as it should be. And it won't be running 180bhp. Max low 170s and even then that might be a little too much for the setup, longer term. It's unlikely to be achieving that economy either!
