Fabia MKI DRLs?

Featured Replies

Anyone got any pics with a fabia sporting DRLs? Also how hard would it be to fit them?

I was thinking about getting two longish strips and putting them inside of the headlights myself and shaping them on the outside curve of the light and stretching along the bottom of the headlight.

Looks very very tacky imo wouldn't bother

Yeah they dont look great on cars that are designed for them, let alone "retro fitting" them. :bandit:

I'm ashamed to say I had some on mine for a while! Got tired of them quickly and they came off soon after!

More pics in the link to my project in my sig

I think they look tacky if they aren't fitted as standard. But that's just my opinion.

Agreed, doesn't look great as a retrofit. Just turn your lights on if you must have something illuminated.

They looked good when they were on top dollar cars like Merc and BM's but now they fit them to ****ty old Kia's, micra's ect and now they just look **** full stop.

There's a nice little gap in the grille under the fog lights for del strips to sit in. Ring automotive do some nice kits, don't get halford ****e lol

I don't think I have ever looked at a car and thought those DRLs look nice! A horrid chav mod that has no place on a Fabia!

you buy fairy lights for your Christmas tree and they look nice but your car is not a christmas tree so dont do it

The only decent ones I've seen IMO are the e39 angel eyes (modern ones are too bright/trying too hard), or Volvo's with the normal lights on.

Personally, I find it easier to just turn a switch when I get into the car! Or hardwire the lights to the ignition - wish manufactures would do this, but while the market demands spang-ly rubbish, I guess that's what we'll get. :(

my retrofits came with a switching box that connects to the sidelights so when you turn the sidelights on the DRLs turn off. and when you turn the igniotion on the DRLs turn on, just like factory fitted ones.

I think DRL's look ok. Each to there own. Might get some. I'm no chav by the way. Ha ha. 53 years young. Feel 60 but think I'm still 30.
