Has anyone tried sanding down and painting the wood inside the interior of the Elegance Superb?

I don't really like wood effect, and would like to paint it the same colour as the plastic around the air vents.

Anyone tried this?

YOU may not like it but I bet if you offer to do a straight swap with someone with a Comfort spec car they will snap your hands off (I know I would of done when I had my MKI)

Auto or Manual? IF it is an auto the gearstick is a fit-once item so you probably wouldn't want to try and swap that.

And I know some people would love to have it but it really isn't for me.

It's pretty much the only thing I don't like about this car. Other than that it's superb!

Why not sand it down and stain it charcoal like the Avantgarde Merc finish? Would look really nice polished up...
