Right or wrong thing to do?

Featured Replies

Had to drive though a flooded road earlier, there was 2 cars stopped after it with their hazards on and one stuck In the middle. Decided to go though it with my passenger side wheels on the pavement which was also slightly flooded.

I have a induction pipe fitted and seeing the other cars stopped made me think that even with a bow wave it may still get wet and suck up some water, did I do right? lol

Went past the scene again and all the water is gone and all apart from an immaculate civic type r that was being loaded on to a recovery truck had gone.

Once went though one in my b reg Carlton thanks the shape of the bonnet it made it lol. Thought I would have to start swimming as it seemed that deep! lol

We had floods recently up north, what you need is a marker for how deep the water is. ie my misses in wellies trying to wade through the depth. Tried to drown her at one crossing but thats another story!

My bro went through one in his accord type R (filter behind bumper) and locked his engine solid! 2 grand repair bill later he doesn't even look at the shallowest of puddles :)

Sounds like you got away with it this time.

I was using the curb as a marker as it was just over it in places hence using the pavement to drive on. Now before anyone says its dangerous to pedestrians there wasn't any and I was going slow lol

Went through a flood a couple of weeks ago. Realised it wasnt a good idea when the water started coming over the bonnet. Luckly there was no damage. When I went back a couple of hours later there where 3 cars stuck in the water.

i never risk it, just turn round or find another route
