My ICE Install, well sort of...

Oo, maybe. Pimp My Ride style?

Just been to Unicar in Leeds - local car audio place - and had a look at one of these.

They're very nicely made, heavy and well-built. I didn't get a chance to hear it 'cos they only had one in stock and it was already sold but their guys said they have had nothing but good reports about them and couldn't recommend them enough.

Good enough for me. I'll buy one when they get them back in stock.

By the way, Empire and every other online place I've seen have no stock :thumbdwn:

I think it'd be good, a quick question...

Now that my sub is wired in, if I ever wanted to change the sub is it a simple case of removing the old sub and plugging in the new sub into the existing connectors or would I need a complete new wiring loom?

You should be able to swap it over providing its an active sub with a built in amp. If you wanted to add an amp you may need to run RCA cables if yours has been fited with a low line input via speaker cables.

Has the Alpine unit above an active sub with a built in amp (like the CMS 256 I have)?

Yes it is

So in theory it's a straight swap and tbh the more and more I get used to the Blaupunkt CMS 256 the worse it sounds...

But dont jump out of the frying pan into a fire, you would be better off listening to one first. They are never going to be as good as a seperate sub box and amp.
