Currently the key only opens the driver's door on pressing the central locking button. Is there any way of opening all the doors at the same time without having to press the remote button twice?

You can have it changed to 1 click unlock with VCDS/VAGCOM. there is a list on the forum of all the people with a device who might be able to help you. I think you can also pay a dealer to turn it on with their computer. but who wants to pay them when you can ask a fellow briskodian and pay in beer tokens!
