Can 195/45 r16 go on vrs rims

Featured Replies

What tyre size are people using on the vrs? i need new ones and a guy is selling 2 195's, will these be ok on the front of the vrs or are the 205's i currently have the recommended size?

cheers

205's are the the recommended size but 195's will fit just fine. I'd recommend you stick with 205's as best not to mix sizes. Could be an insurance issue if you made a claim.

Timfok is runnimg 195s all round and looks alot better

I'm running 195 45 16 and there totally fine

I'm also a 195 advocate

Any pics with a 195 on? Want to see how it looks :)

Look TimFok's build thread, loads of detailed pics in there :)

Looks way better than the 205. you dont get that flat look to your front tyres when stationary...

i will go 195 i think when my tyres are on their way out

my only concern is insurance, most dont tell them but sods law........

anyone know the official word on this and insurance?

It shouldn't matter with insurance. As long as they're all the same and legal and E marked.

As long as your not running different profiles over the one axle you'll be fine.

Also, I don't know if this effects the Skoda but having different profiles front and rear can confuse some TRC/ASR/ESP programs on some cars as the wheels are turning at slightly different rates and could throw up errors.

Spot on mate it does confuse the Fabia.

I run 195/45/16's on the front and 205/45/16's on the rear with no issues....

That small a difference wouldn't worry it but it does go bonkers when you run mega difference.

just spoke to my insurer (Brentacre) and they said they have no problems with dropping down to 195

happy days :)
