Checked my oil level yesterday and found it to be a little low so went out to buy some. But as is always the case, no one had any in stock, skoda dealers parts department closes at 12.00 noon so i missed that option.

Anyway bottom line is i brought some oil from seat dealer witch is meant to be ok for the leon cupra r , its called Quantum synta gold and has code 502.00 / 505.00 is this ok for my octy vrs, i know the code should be 503.00 but ive got a long drive ahead tomorrow and didnt want to do it on a low oil level.

At the end of the day any oil is better than none. For top up you are permitted to use up to a litre of 'incorrect' oil. Are you running variable servicng?
