Elegance seats

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, could anyone tell me what kind of grief I might expect from trying to fit some Elegance seats to a Comfort spec car ? I'm guessing loads of hassle because they're electrically operated aren't they ? Can it be done ?

Id imagine it can be done but there's a lot of electrics under the seat as I found taking them out yesterday. I doubt you'd have the electrics there for the seats.

IIRC there was a post on here quite a while back, from someone who had installed seats from an A6 into a lower spec Superb. Would indicate the harness is in place - probably worth searching for the forum thread.

Thanks I'll have a search for it.

I take it yours is the Elegance then ? Could you tell me please if the seats have the manual adjusters as well as the electrically operated ones ?

What's the difference between the seats?

Heated, part or full leather, electric controlled and rears after 2005 the backs drop down allowing access to the boot.

Cheers for the info...

..and the electric seats have lumbar support (manual) which I don't think is present on the manual seats. Apart from that, there's no other manual adjustments on those seats - they're electrically adjusted only.

I've got manual lumbar support on my 2005 Comfort seats

That would be me then

My Superb was a comfort spec, there is no loom in the car so you will need to add your own (fused) ignition fed live and earth to each seat, this is a piece of cake to do as there is a 'power block' just above the accelerator pedal (behind the trim) you want the yellow switched live:

I fitted the S6 seats as I suffer with back problems and the electric lumbar support on the S6 seats helped no end.

Do you have a picture of them fitted?

The rear S6 seats DO NOT fit however.
