Brake upgrade

Featured Replies

What '312' brakes will fit the VRS?

I know Octavia VRS ones will, and is it A3 brakes too

I want to look on eBay etc and need to know which ones to look for

Thanks

I think Audi TT 1.8 petrol ones will also but not 100% on that.

IIRC you have to buy the MK1 Occy vRS ones as the offset on the MK2 is slightly different.

Pretty sure they are 312mm brakes.

The ones I'm selling do ;) haha

312mm ATE brakes as fitted to:

Audi TT (MK1)

Audi S3 (MK1)

VW Golf (MK4) 4Mo, V5

VW Bora 4Mo, V5

VW Beetle V5

Seat Leon (MK1) Cupra 1.8T

Seat Toledo V5

Skoda Octavia vRS 1.8T

personally i would just stick to what you know best and get the mk1 octy vrs brakes, thats what i have just done :)

That option sounds good. I suppose you haven't got the seller to send pics etc to see what you're getting. How were yours?

Thanks Kenny for that link.

How much of a safe buy would you say that was? There's no mention of condition/use (plus the seller only has 25 feedback)

There used to be a seller on ebay who sold recon calipers, carriers, discs and pads for £220 but I can't find them. I just stripped and checked mines and they were ok, 312's sell quick.

no didnt get any pics but i just typed in a reg off of a mk1 octavia on here, parts gateway find the cheapest place for you and mine came from an actual vrs breakers yard

Well, here they are

Got them from Dave at gbautos ebay. Very helpful chap, quick and effective. Calipers look like new, with brand new pistons and seals and a fresh VRS green pc and two new retaining clips
