I've bought the interior door handle lights for the L&K style retrofit on my vRS,

I've searched for guides etc, but can anyone tell me, do the lights go into a plug or do they need to be spliced into the elec window/mirror plug for power?

Anybody know which wires to splice into if thats what has to be done?

Going to attempt to fit them tomorrow, so any help will be appreciated

They were indeed €16 each from my local VW/Skoda dealer in Kildare, I just got 2 for the moment to do the front doors, I'll do the rear doors later...

I had read your guide from 2009 Mike, but the other briskoda links in that post don't work anymore, think all the older posts were lost at some point.

Did you use scotchlocks or just cut open the covering on the wire, connect and re-insulate the wire Mike?

@Vectra: Yeah, I think I'll be in Fermoy tomorrow, weather forecast isn't looking great but will probably go down to it...

I have rear electric windows so no problem there!

I am getting the parts for this after easter and will try to install them. 

 

Does anyone know where the plugs would plug into on the L&K? I would prefer to buy some extra plugs or cabling and make it as close as possible to factory instead of cutting the plugs off and tapping into the window switch wires.

Yeah, I have been reading through the available topics about this on the forum but I would still like the L&K ones.

 

I understand the sockets will not exist because the care is just an elegance but can they be bought? if I manage to source them, where do they plug into further down the line?
