Two 225/40/18 92Y XL tyres (1x Dunlop, 1x Marangoni)

Featured Replies

I bought the car with 3 Dunlops and 1 Marangoni and have just got around to replacing a full set of four as two were scrap. From what I gather from the previous owner he had replaced one at a time when he'd had punctures or other issues (a bulge on one which meant the Maragoni went on at one of his visits to Kwik Fit).

No pictures at present, as I have just attempted to take them by the light of the single lamp in the cellar and they're bloody terrible, so if anybody is desperate for a photo I will oblige. Collection from Leicester - I can arrange to send but it's a nightmare from work.

1 Dunlop SP Sport Maxx 225/40/ZR18 92Y XL (Extra Load). Between 6.5mm and 7mm on the tread depth gauge, no uneven wear, no chunks missing, no broken treadblocks. Excellent condition and only removed because I fitted a set of four PS3s. I am pretty sure this has not been on the car much longer than Sept '11 and was fitted to the rear. £45 collected

1 Marangoni Mythos 225/40/ZR18 92Y XL. About 4mm on the gauge. Fitted by the previous owner when I asked him to put 12 months MOT on the car as an incentive to buy and one of the front Dunlops had bulged on the inside. Again no uneven wear, no chunks missing, no broken treadblocks. £25 collected.

Neither of the tyres has been puncture repaired.

On the offchance you need one Marangoni and one Dunlop to match tyres across axles, I will sell both for £70 collected.

Shame they're not a matching pair, as I'd have had them.

Good luck with the sale :)
