EGR valve reduced flow error code!

Featured Replies

I have the error code advising insufficient flow through EGR vale. I removed and cleaned the whole assembly and found the top diaphragm was leaking when trying to suck and lift the needle valve. If the damaged diaphragm is causing the MIL to light up is there a cure by blocking the vacuum pipe as I see there is an Allard component to replace the original valve with a straight through pipe . There is no power loss. Just the light coming on after around 10 miles following reset. Any advice much appreciated.

you can do this, but to get rid of the light i think you need to have it mapped out of the ecu
