Had problem with handrake being unbalanced. Tried spring mod put new disks and pads on abd reset everything but no help turns out the caliper is stiff and not returning properly.

Anyone know where can get reconditioned one?

i had the stiff caliper prob on my osr caliper i pulled back the rubber boot and sprayed in a bit of wd40 which free'd them off nicely

Its case of finding time and knowing what to do. Car does 60mile a day on m1 weekends spent trying to keep other half happy lol.

And trust suggesting working on car doesnt go down well.

I will try the wd40 thing though.

cant guarentee wd40 will work, it was my last hope before replacement / recon on the rear calipers and i was lucky enough for it to work, i would say to be careful with the wd40 not to get any on the discs / pads although if you use the straw they provide you can be pretty precise with it

Yeah i got a can somewhere and as you say its worth trying before getting replacement

when i did mine i pumped piston out a little sprayed them then wound them back it, i think seals must have been dry. although if you do decide to attempt to strip and inspect the caliper yourself i do have an exploded diagram of the rear caliper that shows which parts are available from skoda.
