Fuel Filter on 09 Superb II TDI CR 170 4x4

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know if there is a replaceable fuel filter in a 2009 Superb II (TDI CR 170 4x4)?

If so, could anyone tell me where it is and how to change it please?

Thanks,

Mark

It's just behind the drivers side headlight, round canister with a screwed down top (they are torx screws IIRC)

  • Clean the top thoroughly,
  • unscrew the top and lift off (can't remember if any of the 4 fuel lines need to be removed first or if there is enough slack in the fuel lines),
  • remove filter, large O ring seal and two (IIRC) small O rings,
  • if any debris is in the bottom of the canister then clean that out,
  • replace the new O rings supplied with the new filter,
  • fit new filter,
  • fill the canister with clean diesel (lubricate the O rings with diesel)
  • screw the top back on.
  • Let the pump prime the system a couple of times and start her up.

I did mine on a MK5 Golf but it is the same items.

  • 7 months later...

I take it this would be the same on the 09 Superb II TDI 2.0 140 TDI?

Can I ask a simple question, how do I do the last step ie "Let the pump prime the system a couple of times and start her up."

Thanks in advance
