High Beam bulbs to go with Xenons

Featured Replies

Hi

I am picking up an 2006 VRS on Tuesday with xenons. However, as they are not bi-xenons i have read that the main beam is a bit weak but that can be remedied somewhat by buying a decent pair of white coloured high beam bulbs.

Only trouble is, i don't really know what i should be buying so any suggestions, links e.t.c would be most helpful.

Thanks

Whats the difference between Xenons and Bi-Xenons?

Phillips blue vision are a good bulb as well, bit pricey but worth it!

Bi-Xenons use the same Xenon HID bulb for both the low beam and high beam. When you switch the high beam off a mechanical shutter mechanism blocks that part of the beam. Many Xenon systems on new cars use this setup.

On standard Xenon's, only the low beam is Xenon. The high beam being provided by a pair of separate high beam bulbs which are standard halogen bulbs, which do look a little weak when compared to the low beam.

Yes they would fit fine.
