Front splitter- any actual advantage?

Featured Replies

Even if it did provide some advantage how would you be able to tell? Unless you got a private wind tunnel ;)

Lol, well was meaning if anyone has noticed any improvement in handling/grip or even mpg after fitting one?

according to the brochure it does not affect fuel economy

thats good to know, was hoping it might help actually but that will do! Any one else got one of these fitted?

Biggest advantage is,

It makes you a more carefull parker.

or

It will give your passangers exercise when you make them get out to check before driving forward.

You will be checking out the height of kerbs if you drive front into the likes of Micky D or Halfords parking places.

Maybe not overlapping the kerb.

(or remember to always reverse in.)

hah, never thought about that!

Some vicious speed bumps around here so might think again

I'd say that the benefits are looks.

Looks ALOT better tbh with it on.

I have it on my with 30mm lowering (30 mm for a vRS, not a stock Fabia).

Got NO problems with speedbumps or kerbs ;).

Do you mean that Sweden has no kerbs or low kerbs, or you do not park at kerbs front on?

My vRS without a splitter, just clears most kerbs here without scraping.

george

We have kerbs ofcourse, but you don't drive all the way up to it.

That's why kerbs ain't no problem ;).
