Awesome!!

Pretty cool Bry

Good detail, pretty sharp, very good for a bridge.

Only thing i could never get with a bridge was good in flight stuff.

Great Bokeh too

However thats a good advert for camera ....... and user i suppose

Dammed impressive that and even more so for a bridge camera. Goes to show that the gap between bridge cameras and entry level dlsr's is getting smaller all the time. Credit to u aswell.

Thanks for the encouragement, I was particularly pleased with them, bearing in mind a decent macro lens for the SLR would probably cost about 3 times as much as the Fuji

And yes Lofty, in flight stuff is a lot harder to capture

Nice shots, uncle Brim!

not to take it away from you there though mate

Not at all

The bridge cameras still have a degree of shutter delay, which you don't get with an SLR

I tried using the Fuji at Waddington Air Show this year because of the massive zoom, but it was a pain compared to my Nikon D5000

at same time only one lens not 4, largest being 3 feet long to match range. thats some kit bag to do it slr style

Unless you've got an 18-250 and a 150-500

I know 500 isn't 720, but try operating the Fuji at 720 capturing a fast moving jet, it ain't going to happen :(

black and gold, nice. Not sure about the fly eye tints though ;) Seriously Brim, some exquisite shots, very nice. :)

The one on the right doesn't know how to use an iron!

I'm guessing that there's not a lot that the one on the left doesn't know how to use.

That pic. of the Typhoon at the Waddington air show -was that taken with the Fuji then?

No, that was the Nikon SLR

I would have thought that would have been a hard shot to capture on any camera kudos to you . My little TZ-20 is pretty good for close up work and macro shots but it doesn't produce the best results at full zoom:

On your camera, the 500mm is actually a 700mm anyway ;)
