Noticed the other day that my tailpipe was sitting at a funny angle, so gave it a wiggle and it was quite loose!

Took it to my local garage and the clamp that sits just behind the cat was broken (the big long one with the 2 bolts) so had it replaced, not long after leaving the garage the management light came on, the car is still running perfectly is this becauase the exhaust has been messed with and its just a case of plugging it in and resetting it or do i perhaps have another problem???

may have disturbed the pre or post cat lambda or damaged the wiring to it if they let the system 'hang' from it... needs to go on vcds to be sure.

Most code readers should read it as its the engine light that's come on

Thanks for the reply's, just come home from work and light went off as normal and has stayed off, should i still get it looked at to be safe???

To be honest if it was me id just leave it for now. It would of stored the code so you can read it later.

If you have a lap top just buy a OBD cable from ebay and download vcds lite. Or if you have an android phone buy a Bluetooth OBD adapter and download torque onto your phone.
