im getting a BLACK or RED inlet manifold

ive been peeking at my bay tonigt and im in a few minds

ive realised... the throttle body bit ( i think thats what it is ) wont be done at the same time

so after a eeek panic regret moment ive calmed down and thought id ask you folk

POLL at top ( but incase it vanishes again )

1 = BLACK inlet / RED cam cover / POLISHED throttle body

2 = RED inlet / BLACK cam cover / POLISHED throttle body

im thinking to have the throttle body bit polished as i cant see it being able to match the colour so may bug me

also i looked at this ??? and not sure what it is and if would look odd above a red cover ? or ive noticed alot of bays without this ???

or if the inlet was red and the throttle thing was then sprayed in black at a later date or when the cover was done

and then use red coil packs ??????????

that way if the engine cover was in there would still be a red inlet ??????????????

That's a dilema I can't decide.

the black thing is your vac reservoir mate. i say go red and red. but im a bit bright and bias! lol

My cam cover and throttle body are black. I keep thinking about painting the ABD manifold.

I have no idea... Maybe crazy brite red will look funky lol

red inlet , black cam cover and black throttle asm I think..

With a black cam i could put red coil packs

Red would be a little predictable with a red car. Black wouldn't stand out much (but would look nice).

I had mine done to match my hoses - I'm such theirs aboucture of it somewhere on here.

Yep it is part of the SAI, N249 and N112 delete process, for that canister you route the pipe from the DV to the inlet manifold after delete mod.

P.S make your mind up buddy on colour.....

why not polish cam cover and have black throttle and inlet. thinking that on mine also but like mine polished also.

I'm keeping my engine cover on as I don't think the 1.8t is a good looking engine IMHO. So I'm toying with the idea of painting my inlet manifold wrinkle red. On my S2 I painted the cam cover and inlet manni wrinkle black and it's good stuff. So I'd go red inlet.
