Alarm/battery

Featured Replies

Just a quick question on how to stop the alarm going off when you disconnect the battery?

Put a slave battery in the boot and connect it to the power socket - centre positive. Be aware that the positive lead of the vehicle's own battery will remain live when you do this, so insulate accordingly. I put it into an old glove and secure with a cable tie.

If you are removing the vehicle battery, don't break the scuttle trim.

Scuttle trim? Lol I've taken it out, don't think I've broken anything thus far... Haha

Take the negative off before the positive. Then the alarm won't sound.

Take the battery out, when the car is unlocked? :wonder: If you need to lock the car after taking battery out, just use manual locking of the doors.
