Watching non-widescreen DVD's on Columbus?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know how to watch non-widescreen (16:9) DVD's in a Comumbus without it cropping off top & bottom of the picture?

When it goes to the menu it shows the correct picture aspect but as soon as it starts playing it reverts to 16:9 aspect and the top & bottom is missing!

I realise that without distorting the picture this will result in black bars down the side, but I can live with that as that it will give me the correct aspect ratio for the DVD (Mr Benn).

Thanks if anyone knows.

Mr. Benn, the early 70's psychadelic cartoon about a man with a penchant for getting dressed up?

That's the one.

It's for the kids, you understand!

I don't care if it's for the kids or you, it's a cult classic! Sorry I can't help with your problem but I had to ask about Mr. Benn! Good luck finding a solution :)

Never had any problems, there is a setting in one of the menus to set the DVD format.

Mannyo: I'll have another look in the menu as I obviously missed something.
