Not 100% sure on this one but...I know the 1.6/2.0 Octy uses a different gearstick to the vRS, such that the knobs are not interchangeable. I'm not too sure if it's also the case for 1.4 16v in the Octy, or indeed if Fabia knobs are interchangeable with Octy knobs.

I believe the gear knobs are the same, but the Octy is only 5-speed so has less paint on it ;)

i guess it would look a bit stupid if i had a 6 speed stick lol! yeah a 6 speed 1.4 :D

Whats so funny about that? The standard Punto Sporting Mk2 had 6 gears in manual form, or 7 speed in the form of the speedgear, and that was a 1.2!!!

In fact I think before that they even did a 1.1 with 6 gears.

But TBH, a 5 speed box car with a 6 speed vRS knob would just be a bit silly... and also, not sure why you'd want a vRS knob in a car that isnt a vRS, but thats just me. You can get any number of aftermarket gearknobs that are at least as good as the stock vRS knob.

And every smart with a 600cc, 700c or 800cc engine also has a 6-speed box. It makes more sense on a smaller engine to have more gears, allows it to work more efficiently...

Yep, my Smart 599cc had a 6 speed semi-auto/full auto box, but 2nd didnt last too long, I kept bouncing off the limiter.
