Ipad / Yeti

Featured Replies

Hi

I would like to attach an ipad on the dashboard of my yeti. There are so many different types of fittings available on amazon ect ect, but not sure which one would work best. Has anyone tried this and what fitting do you recommend. Thks in advance.

I've seen devices that allow you to attach an iPad onto the back of the front seats, not not sure about fixing it to the dashboard, I'm sure there will be safety implications if you're intending to use it on the move.

Have a look at this American site: http://tiny.cc/6ffpjw

I have used them a few times and they have an amazing range.

I have seen thses things about but I guess they would obscure the entertainment unit in our snow monsters:

Seen them on Amazon and eBay as well. I've not tried one so I guess you'd need to search somre reviews. I did consider one for my tablet (ASUS Transformer 300) but my phone is good enough in the car.

I have always used Brodit mounts and found them to be good and sturdy. I am contemplating fitting my iPad to the dash as well. The mounts fit around the air vent (not in it) and should be fine. Check out their site www.brodit.se I think. Lots of UK suppliers.

Had a quick look and it might cost you about £60 or more !

Or more!!!!!!

About £15.50 for the Proclip and £65 for an active mount.

Ouch.

Not so sure I will mount mine then. Though TomTom is great on the big screen. I can see it!

(TomTom will only work properly on the cellular version, which is the only version with the GPS chip in it)

With a screen that size you'd be better off running Memory Map. Then you'd get proper maps!!

An ipad is quite fun in car, especially on long jouneys. Its good at detecting radars here in France......but also good for GPS, movies for the kids, internet for the passenger, live grand prix for the driver...ect ect

That's interesting, as it would fit with the smart case on, but I don't like stuff stuck to the dashboard, I can barely read at all at the moment, so don't know what the rest of the page says.
