I have a 1.8 tsi in India. Here the standard ride height is 165 mm as opposed to the more natural 145 mm in the EU.

Anyways I running on the standard 15" pyxis wheels with 195/65 rubber. Now I want to shift to 205/60 R15 (recommended on the fuel filler flap)

If I do this, will the gap in the arches look even more since im reducing the sidewall height from 65 to 60 ?

anyways my car looks ridiculous with the current gap in the arches .. don't want to increase it any further !

this tells you ;)http://www.etyres.co.uk/tyre-size-calculator.htm

it would be safe to run them because its only 1.1% different, but it is less, so 7mm less RR, so a 7mm more gap between tyre and arch...

have you considered addin some lowering springs too? maybe drop the car by 20mm? (assuming you could still comfortably tackle your local roads!)

I would love to get lowering springs .. drop it down to 145 mm. But the whole idea of keeping these 15" wheels was to not ruin the ride ... And im told that the lowering springs will make the ride harsh .. so havent really got an option..

Thanks for the link though !
