When you say tap in do you just plug in? or is it case of cutting wires?

Splicing in using a method of your choice. Especially in the case of the ABS signal, make sure you do it properly, rather than using a cheap & simple (no brand names used :D) crimp connector.

Just out of interest, does anyone know what exactly you're splicing into, in terms of ABS cable? Is it the raw output of the HES? Or something processed?

Sooooooooo if all goes wrong I could end up ####ing up ABS

Is it vitaly important to makie this connection?

Erm... No. Not on the Octy anyway. You just plug it in and it gets all the data through the pre installed wiring. No need for running extra wires or splicing etc..

Have found a website detailing how to install the plug-and-play wiring.....
