Octavia II 1.6 Petrol Service Info (Ire)

Hi,

When researching my Oct for a service I couldn't find a whole lot on petrol models.

So, will post some info, that may help someone.

2007 Oct II 1.6 Petrol (non fsi)

Oil : used Halfords own VW spec'd oil at euro52 (free screwdrivers too)

this was a 5L can as the Oct takes 4.5L with a filter change.

My local factors only had 4L cans and at euro65 each.

Got my Oil filter & spark plugs from Micks Garage.ie

Mann oil filter (e5) and 4 NGK plugs (e22).

You will need to remove the under engine cover with a T25 & T30 torx.

Spark plugs are a lot easier then my older Oct - but a universal joint is a help.

Oil filter is also easy to access.

To reset the service dash - press the trip button and turn on ignition.

release and turn to the right. This will reset it to 15k km for the next service.

Update your book with the date and info of what you've done.
