Featured Replies

on my way to work today and the engine management light came on, 10 mins later the abs light and then the traction control light came on, cant get it plugged in till tomorrow anyone got any ideas what it might be? seems strange as the car is driving fine and they all came on within a short space of time

I had this when the sprague clutch on the alternator on mine stuck open.

Low battery volts

Yeah, I had a dirty connection on my alternator that caused this and some dodgy running issues. The VAG specialist garage was stumped but I sorted by squirting some WD40 on it.

i'll have to have a gander later see if i can see any loose wires, i've got a spare alternator for it in the garage, just been out in it and the engine management light is still on but the other two have gone

It was the plug that was corroded on mine. Came up with a fault with the throttle boddy and might kick a couple of others up . Periodicly my voltage was dropping by about a volt.

Check the fuse box on top of the battery for any melting the alternator wire corrodes and gets hot and can cause similar problems
