Quick Grille Wrapping Questions

Featured Replies

Gonna try to wrap the grille, even though I've never vinyl wrapped anything before.

Going to get some gloss black fablon as I think that's what Gee used on his.

The question is, how much do I need?

The other question is, how on earth do you remove the grille from the surround? My clips seem to be very stiff and look like they may break. Also, there's loads of clips so I think I'll need about six hands!! lol

Any tips?

it helps using a heat blower.

this was enough for mine:

Measure length, measure width, add 1-2cm to be safe, order :)

Cheers guys.

Since you're only wrapping the chrome surround of the grille, do you overlay it and cut the centre and around, or do you do it in two pieces with a join, or what?

Wrap the whole thing and the cut a hole on the centre leaving 1-2cm to wrap around the back. Buying a good quality wrap will be the key here!

I found Avery black gloss on ebay. It should be okay, right?

I always use a small flat blade screwdriver to push on the clips while pulling from the front, I start at a corner and work my way round.
