Widemouth bumper.

Featured Replies

I am after your opinions and pics if you have any.

I have got a widemouth bumper for my octy vrs, which i am hoping to get fitted next week when i comes back from bein sprayed. I havent got a fmic yet but plan on getting one fitted.

Will the widemouth look right with out the fmic behind it for now ?

Thanks in advance

Npt really imo.

You cutting the crash bar too?.

Was thinkin about it. The only reason i am puttin it on before i get an fmic is because i have no space to store it.

Well better cooling for the radiator eithere way, but you'll not know untill you fit it and see for yourself weather it looks alright or not

is the wide mouth the one with a cut out where the licence plate sits?

id say youll be fine.

personally i dont like the wide mouth and prefer the idea of a fmic subtly hiding behind the standard bumper but each to his own!

Close up from front with modified crashbar on a red vrs, did mine slightly differant tho i left rub strip intacted

does give the car a very purposeful look!

Shame about thoes ss pipes in the side holes tho.

If I was doing a FMIC and wide mouth, it would all be satin black anyway

Shame about thoes ss pipes in the side holes tho.

it was only close up pic i had, it now has grills back in

Lol

Thats one thing i not a fan of, seeing them pipes. The golf and a3 lot seem to do it and actually cut the bumper so they sit prper out.

Each to their own tho. Was looking at doint the wide bumper but

1dont have the guts to ruin the car

2 want the car to look as oem as pos. Hence muine having mostly the best oem stuff from a mk 4 platform car.

Go with the mods, but keep it looking OE.

Sometimes less is more.
