Noticed in service book it mentions about haldex clutch oil change, what versions had this type of clutch ?

Is there anyway of finding out how many miles I have to next service, without resetting the service history

Thanks

one is 10k fixed other is up to 20k variable

Stick with 10k changes. Mines flashed up when it needed serviced!

Oil filter and plug from skoda is £30 so you could change now then you know its 10k until the next service (peace of mind)

change mine every 6000. thats when the warning comes up. cant change the oil too frequently

Not so sure there.

Mine has been on variable since new and regularly get 18+k out of it.

When i changed the oil pickup pipe at 101k it was pritty much spotless yet some users who change regular as in 10kor less have had pritty manky pickups?

Why wast the oil. If its a good one then use it fully. 10k is ample short mind depends on the time too. No good leavin it in for 10k if it takes 5 years to do it lol.

Once a year is what my octy got serviced mind i was doing the 20k ne probs.

Now my fabia gets done 2 times a year but they are on the 10k services. I leave it till 11-12k tho ish which seems fine so far. I use the quantumoil from tps.

Just picked up a 20l drum for 56 notes lol

Thanks for the responses seems car was originally on long life but last owner changed at some point to fixed intervals. Car had an oil & filter change prior to me picking it up.

But not sure if its now on fixed or variable

if they swapped to fixed mate, best keeping it on that so 10 k from last service do it again.

Quantum Platinum 5w40 fully synthetic oil and the filter and sump plug are cheapy and good quallity.

You can use the sump plug twice ne probs. they are only a quid or so. cant get the washers for them so its the whole thing that gets changed

try get in with your local TPS too if there is one.

Thanks for the replies, will see if in 10,000 miles or 12 months if it warns me a service is due if not I have to presume its been put back on variable.

if it doesnt warn you you will need to make sure its got the right oil in it.

mind again what it says on the paperwork is not always what they do. Lightcliffe skoda Halifax when I took mine ther for its second service they put certain things on the paperwork and did the oposite, no harm done tho as I knew there was something not right with the oil as it wasnt feeling as good as before so I changed the oil at 8/9k back to 0w30 oil as it was at the time and she ran like new again.

Thanks what oil do the TdI use ?

yes it is, I am sure the octy uses it too. I use either that or the 5W30 507.00 oil in my fabia vRS, depends what I have to hand but both are to spec so are fine.

someone else will be along to clarify.
