Mirror was out of comfort zone, (angle wise due the hit I presume) and I just put it to parking position and it worked. So far I can adjust mirror, put it in parking position and I got cracked mirror and housing, as you can see.

Advice please

Will it suffice to replace just mirror, dealer or eBay? Anybody got any experience how to? Any step by step guide? Is this ok replacement?

Housing wise, will it be ok to glue it or where to find Edition 100 wing mirror housing?

Thanks

Zoka

I'd start by talking to a good dealer (meaning one with a parts man who can actually find stuff from a description alone, like they used to all do in the days of microfiche).

Also, look for model shops, and ask them about "non-fogging superglue" (sometimes called canopy glue) and you may be able to sort the housing yourself. Alternatively, there's a form of plastic surgery that works on bumpers and might be applicable here. It's probably done by people like "dents away", but you want to speak to the actual repairman, not just the switchboard about this.

Thanks for your reply Mr. KenONeill :hi:

Here is current state of affairs:

1. Trip to my local Skoda dealer / stealer yield result of £60 for glass only :wall:

2. eBay 5 min search produced following results

skoda superb wing mirror glass electric heated aspheric clear tint 2001-2007 RH

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180926860565&ssPageName=ADME:L:OC:GB:3160

And I just start to look for non-fogging glue to do my mirror housing repair….

So thanks for your reply and advice, looks like I'm going to sort it for £10-15 and some little know-how which is ok..

Hope this will help some other Briskodian members with cheap replacment of wing mirror glass.
