I know it's been covered before but I have a non functioning boot light. The bulb is fine but I can't seem to work out why it isn't working. People have mentioned the catch been at fault, do they mean the bit in the boot lid or the bit in the boot end itself?

I have this issue too - albeit intermittently!

The switch is part of the lock mechanism in the tailgate (orange coloured?).

Some WD40 and using a pen barrel to cause the catch to latch and the boot lid switch to unlock it a few times gets it working for a while!

Only real fix is to replace the lock in the tailgate.
