Does anyone know of a place/web store that sells steelies of 17" (7.0Jx17" to be precise)? I can't find them anywhere except the US (which after import taxes would make them more expensive that actual Gigaros...)

My alloys got some nice scars already from the idiots at the local tyre shop that I visited last year, so If this goes on, in 3 years (6 swaps) they will look as If I'd curbed the h*ll out of them.

not too sure about 17's for steelies. maybe audi do skinny space savers that size but youd need a few to get them banded to make them wide enough..

maybe 16s but iv never seen any tbh

for 15' youll need 195 55 tyres which are a close match... plenty of options there.

you could always get some aftermarket alloys i guess then the worlds your oyster.

Not seen any VAG steels in 17"

just checked ebay theres loads of peugot ones.. so youll need an adaptor but no biggy.

It was a bad choice from the beginning going for the stock dimension (205/40/17) on the winters... Now I'm stuck with them until they wear out I guess... Apmaman, could you send a link for those peugeuot's?

Wouldn't it be easier to sell your 17" winters, then get a set of 15" or 16" steelies and wrap them in new winter tyres?

Yeah, as things are now, it seems a lot of trouble looking for 17" steelies. I'll have to wait until they wear out or somebody offers to buy them...
