OEM Skoda (full size) spare wheel and tyre -

Featured Replies

Hi,

I ordered a full-sized factory fit spare when I ordered my new Octavia Scout (I collected it brand new July 2011), but have since bought a 5th steel wheel fitted with winter tyre that I'll leave in the car all year round, so the Skoda spare with summer tyre is surplus to requirement.

It is a 6.5J 16" original Skoda steel wheel fitted with a Continental Sportcontact 2 205/55 R16 91V tyre. The spare wheel was fitted once and was on for less than 40 miles, therefore it's virtually brand new, when I got a nail through one of the tyres fitted to my car. It was this that made me think I'd not want to have to fit a summer spare in the Alps in the winter (I drive to go skiing) if I punctured one of my winters so I bought a 5th winter wheel and tyre from MyTyres which I'll use all year round (I'm thinking a winter spare in summer is better than a summer spare in winter).

You can see the pics, tread still has the couloured bands visible (sorry had to re-size pictures) and all the tread left. The yellow warning stickers will peel off and I think they are on there as the spare is a different size to the 17" Proteus alloys I have fitted. The spare is what Skoda classified as a full-size spare.

£75, cash only, collect from PE10 (home), or NG24 (work), or arrange somewhere in between either when I'm going to of from work (up and down the A1 and A151 from Colsterworth to Bourne).

If you think £75 is a bit steep I'm open to (sensible) offers.

I'm in no rush to get rid, it's only taking up room in the garage and out of principle I wouldn't accept a ridiculously low offer, all I'm trying to do is offset the cost of the winter spare I've bought.
