Mud flaps and winters on a Monte C?

Featured Replies

Have a Monte on order and I'm looking at the practicalities of trying to keep it in a reasonable shape, bearing in mind the shocking state the roads get in round here during the winter.

Currently have a set of 15" steel rims and and 195/55 winter tyres for the 2010 Elegance spec that the MC will replace. Undecided whether to try and source a set of OEM 15" alloys (would leave in standard silver finish) or maybe get a set of S trim 'Satellite' wheel covers, which are similar to the Trinity alloys and have them professionally resprayed to sort of match :wonder:

Also wondering about mud-flaps, obviously the OEM type are not designed for the 'body kit' (and would look out of place) but maybe the after market rally style ones might be OK, if there's any available that would fit of course.

Therefore has anyone with an MC fitted rally style flaps, either all-round, or just front/back.

Thoughts would be appreciated, even if the above ideas are looked upon with horror by the more sporting 'set' :giggle:

Thanks,

TP

Sorry i have no knowledge to pass on with this, but I too would be interested to know what others have done regarding the mud flaps.....

Thanks for the link

May contact one of the e-bay supply/manufacturers see if they intend bringing out a Fabia II rally flap kit; currently only advertise Mk 1 :wonder:

Sorted the wheels; decided to go for alloys and managed to get a full set of new Fabia II 15" eight spoke rims of the 'Line' design, as used on the 2009 Blueline special edition. Got £100 off the retail price for the full set of four, think the dealer has had them in stock a while and wanted rid. Not sure how they will look on the Monte when she eventually arrives but got to be better than steels with Hermes covers :giggle:
