Has anybody had experience with changing this? I have a 1.8T with ATM. Do I need to take apart the front end or is there any other good option to change this? It looks like, if I remove the oil pan, I might get the mounting of snub out.

Pull the front into the service position - as you would to change the cambelt. The snub mount disconnects itself and can just be unbolted. The rubber is available sepatately from VW. I would not contemplate disturbing the sump.

Front engine mount - in the middle behind the bumper. It stops the power unit moving up and down with drive torque reversals.

Any info for service position for Superb? Found for Passat, but is Superb different? I know how to take bumper shim away, but for the rest?

The Superb is structurally exactly the same as the B5.5 Passat. There are small differences in brackets, grille etc. (the Superb is actually

easier) but if you can't work those out as you go along, you shouldn't be in there... Best of luck.

Well lets see. I managed to change the climate ventilator without taking front end apart. Maybe I'll get lucky with mount also
