Ive searched about this quite alot and understand this does happen but will affect oil usage as im going through abit of oil at the moment. Would the elephant trunk mod help control oil usage?

Theres no other visible leaks that i can see..sump plug etc

Oil it is is the oil vapour from the crank case - the elephant mod/ccv mod will just divert this oil away from the car. It means the intercooler/pipework wont get gunged up, but if there is an issue, it wont fix it.

I agree it's going to pass a small amount of oil, I'm going to check mine soon as I had this issue, will let you know if it's any better.
